If you have a map of the plateau or you want to use a local guide, you can explore this characteristic area. We cover about 60 km passing through <strong>Nuragus<\/strong>, <strong>Genoni<\/strong>, <strong>Laconi<\/strong> (the <strong>Aymerich Park<\/strong> is worth a stop here). Anyway, driving this stretch of road is well-rewarded with beautiful views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After passing <strong>Fonni<\/strong>, the town at the highest altitude on the island, we arrive in <strong>Mamoiada.<\/strong> Here it is very interesting to visit the <strong>masks museum<\/strong>. Carnival is here intensely lived and the barbaricine masks are some of the most famous and original expressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After <strong>Orgosolo<\/strong>, with its original wall paintings, you can reach <strong>Oliena<\/strong>, at the foot of the characteristic <strong>Corrasi mountain,<\/strong> where the source of <strong>Su Gologone<\/strong> is located. Beyond <strong>Dorgali<\/strong>, a steep descent leads us to <strong>Cala Gonone<\/strong>, a well-known tourist site with many hotels and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Central-Eastern Coast blue sea, pearl of our 5 days in Sardinia itinerary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Wild Blue and the most beautiful sea in the world<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our third day does not include ground transfers. In fact, it is almost obligatory to take a seat in one of the many <strong>boats<\/strong> to reach the amazing local places and beaches. You will remember it for the transparency of the sea, for the wild beauty of its beaches and for that mix of sensations known as <strong>&#8220;Sardinia sickness&#8221;<\/strong>! Be sure it will convince you to come back soon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Dorgali to Arbatax<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Resuming the 4th day of our itinerary, there will be other exciting moments. The road from <strong>Dorgali<\/strong> to <strong>Arbatax<\/strong> develops in a plateau of great solitude and rare beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Near <strong>Genna Silana<\/strong>, a mountain pass over 1,000 meters above sea level, you will find the gorge of <strong>Su Gorroppu<\/strong>, a spectacular fissure open in the limestone rocks. Here, the natural monument of <strong>\u2018\u2018Perda \u2018e Liana\u2019\u2018<\/strong>, with its 1.297 metres, dominates a vast area of <strong>Gennargentu<\/strong>. A detour allows us to stop at <strong>Ulassai<\/strong> to visit the <strong>caves of Su Marmuri<\/strong>, in an impressive rocky amphitheatre.
